Rabat, Morocco: The three-day event, 19-23 December, was held in Rabat bringing together over 1,000 participants from 52 African countries. It was organized by All Africa Students Union in partnership with the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation, with the participation of student unions and youth-led non-governmental organizations and regional and international youth organizations, including participation from Leander-J.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs Nasser Bourita said Africa must work to put cooperation at the service of education, training and employment.
Education and skills formation is crucial for future empowerment of the new generation on the continent. Morocco is taking the lead, currently forming thousands of African university students (14 thousand, of which 12 thousand from 47 African countries). This includes also the recent creation of a digital platform “Morocco-Alumni.ma”, to improve student networking of the 35,000 foreign graduates.
